The Federal Trade Commission’s “Eyeglass Rule” requires your doctor to give you a copy of your prescription immediately after completion of the eye examination and before dispensing procedures begin. With your prescription in hand you may shop wherever you choose. Effective January 1, 1999, your prescription can no longer contain a one year expiration date unless your medical history or the presence of a visual abnormality indicates otherwise. (California AB255) If you don’t have your prescription with you, we can call your doctor and acquire it. Can you replace my contact lenses? Yes, if you have had an eye exam within the past 12 months. Just come in with your prescription for contacts or we can acquire it from your doctor.
